23/01 - Last day in Sydney

We woke up a bit in a rush (we both forgot to put an alarm on...) and it was 9.50am I jumped out of bed, took all the sheets off, the keys (leaving my shoe in the door) and went to reception to check us out (still in PJ!!). We had a quick shower, moved the bags to the storage room and went downstairs for breakfast. Not much to eat, as we are trying not to carry too much food while moving places.

We decided to walk to town, on the way we stopped by a bakery and finally bought the Rocky Road we have been looking at every day for the past week (not that great unfortunatellly). We took the long but scenic road to town eating our RR, under a nice midday sun!

In town we went to a few shops, then we looked for a food court but everything seems to be closed in the center of town over the weekend. So we ended up sharing a McDonald, on a park bench above Wynward station.

We still had time to kill so we decided to go and check Barangaroo Reserve (finally!). We saw the temporary "box" exhibition. It is pretty cool, it looks like a town, made of cardboard boxes, they have workshops for kids and there is even a zipline that goes above the "town"

Backoutside, the sun is coming and going. We are walking on the cycle path near the water, it is beautiful. Then once on the other side ("near" Harbour Bridge) we went up, to see the view from the top. It is pretty sweet! The reserve is kind of terraced gardens.

We went back down the stairs, bought an expensive ice-cream and head back to the hostel (on foot again) via Darling Harbour. We won't make it to the weekly fireworks that happens here at 9pm every Saturday... because we need to leave the hostel at 9.29pm with the bus.

Back at the hostel, we had dinner, got changed, said goodbye to Jesse and Gaƫtan, I am a bit sad to leave them :( ... In the end we decided to take the Light Rail instead of the bus (more reliable and drop us closer!).

By 10.15pm we were there and waited until 10.50 for the bus to show up. We were the 1st in the bus and the only ones going to Coffs Harbour. D and I each took a row (more space to sleep) and I played on his phone for a while, we stopped once for toilet and dinner break (at 2am???) Then slept, it was so cold......

 Walked 13.8 km today.
Slept on seats in Greyhound bus heading towards Coffs Harbour.
