I got up early to pay for one more night, I don't feel ready to go yet... and at the same time I also bought the bus pass (Greyhound) from Sydney to Brisbane with as many stops as we want. After that I tried to go back to sleep but it did not work.
We packed our bag with lunch (left overs) and the park towel, then headed for Workoffice shop, not too far from Victoria Park) to by some Ziplock bags and lables for D. portable kitchen (spices). We stayed a little while in the shop, looking around at all the aisle. (worst way to do shopping, you want to buy everything!)
Then we went to Victoria Park for lunch, we found a bench kind of under a tree and ate there. It was raining a little. Afterwards we headed towards CBD to find a NAB bank (supposed to have the cheapest withdrawal fee $1.5) and then find a Westpac bank (my bank) to deposit the money on my Australian account that I just withdrawed from my UK account.
We were near Paddy's market and it was pissing rain, so we decided to go in (and wait for the rain to stop). It is actually a big mostly Asian shopping center. We went to an Asian supermarket and found cheap spices, flaxseeds and quinoa (we are on a really healthy diet, thanks to chef Damien). We went to the dollar store for some washi/decorative tape but unsuccessful.
Before leaving the place I went to the toilets and found these on the walls (Chinese year animal with a description of people's personality. For the people I know it works for some of them but not everyone... (sorry I don't have them all...)
Once we left the shopping center, D. remembered he had bought a Chinese ice-cream, it was pretty much all melted... it looks like a fish biscuit with ice-cream in it, it was a mess!
Went home on foot under the rain. It is Friday, so we had BBQ and a nice chat with a Dutch and a German. Then we packed our bags, getting ready for tomorrow's check out.
D. went to bed early, I was on the computer until midnight, and after that I played on D.'s phone at Splendor (doing some challenges).
