HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTINE!!!
Today is my sister's birthday but also the funeral mass of my paternal grandpa. It is hard in those moments not to be with the family...
We woke up around 8am, D. went exercising and I did some research about wedding planners in Melbourne. This years is a great time for us to try something new/different. I found a few companies and there is one girl I quite like her philosophy, I need to take the time to email her properly. We had breakfast around 9.30, and Simon joined us around 10, ready to leave for his next adventure: Melbourne.
After breakfast I made a few maps of our walks. I am kind of proud of me, I am keeping on top of things (pretty much): the journal is up to date, walk maps are done, I regularly upload photos (from camera to hard-drive) we just need to pick photos for Facebook, and day 1-2-3 are already on the blog!
Showers, lunch in the hostel and we were on our way (around 3pm again, it is getting a bad habit!). We took the bus to Martin Place (the terminus), walked to Circular Quay and The Rocks.
We walked around and under the famous Harbour Bridge, getting pretty nice shot of the Opera House! We also encountered a lot of brides and grooms getting there wedding photos made in the area!

I wanted to follow the coast all the way to Barangaroo Park but D. was not sure it existed/was finished and deemed it too far to gamble. Instead we went up the Observatory and from there we could see that the park does exist, but it was actually far from our location, next time! We enjoyed for a little while the view of the bay and the sun getting low. Even if today was a great day the view is still stunning!
After that we had a hard time deciding where to have dinner so in the end we ended up back at Martin Place, took the bus all the way to Glebe Point Road and at the bottom of it we pocked a Mexican place: Baja Cantina.
The food was lovely, but we had way too much!! (my fault I ordered starter + main expecting small portions...) Starter: Nachos with a cheese cream, Mains: Enchiladas for D. and DYO (Do Your Own) Fajitas for me. While we ate, we were serenated by Victor the Mexican Harp player. Having eaten so much food we decided to head back to the hostelon foot (a good 20 minutes uphill!).

Showers and bed around 9pm, knackered and belly full!!
Walked 8.8 km today.
Slept in a mixed dorm (full of smelly guys), in Glebe Point YHA, in Sydney
