I slept in. D. got up and worked on the computer. I had breakfast around 11.30/12pm. After we stayed in the hostel because it rained, so we did some research for the trip and booked the YHA on North Stradbroke Island. We had lunch quite late and around 2.30pm we headed to town.

| Free boat: the CityHopper |
We took the free boat at 2.45pm at North Quay and all the way to Thornton Street. We had lunch in a small covered area above the water, because it was still raining a bit. Then we walked along the river and climbed on top of the cliffs.
From the cliffs we looked at the view of the city centre of Brisbane. It is a nice little park at the top with a café. We went back down and took another boat all the way to SouthBank.
We got close to the city, went under the famous Story Bridge and saw parts of the chic suburb of Brisbane. The boat then turned around in the New Farm area. On the way back we got off at SouthBank and walked towards Mollison Street, where Jan told us about a Street Food Market.
The market was a bit of a walk, but we did not regret it! First we did a round to see what they had to offer. Then we decided we would share some Hungarian Bread. After that, D. had a burger and I had some roasted potatoes. I bought a cupcake for dessert but kept it for later as I was too full.
We went back to SouthBank by night and did the same free boat tour nearly all the way to the hostel (as close as we could!) it took 1h30. We aw the city lit up and the bridge too (bright red). While on the boat we ate the delicious cupcake.
We were back at the hostel quite late 10.30 / 11pm. We both showered and then went straight to bed.
Walked 9 km today.
Slept in a mixed dorm, in Brisbane YHA
