Late morning again, but it is raining so no need to rush! We had breakfast around 11am, we did a bit of research for the next leg of our trip, I also journaled and D. water-coloured. We had lunch around 3.30/4pm, it was not raining anymore so we went out to explore SouthBank (the other side of the river).
We crossed the funky bridge, walked along the river the length of museums and concert hall. We had to stop at the Brisbane sign (the back side was nicer than the front). We strolled under the design canopy, it was really pretty.

We reached the artificial beach, it is a nice space, there was barely anyone (due to the weather I am sure). The water area around the beach is also nice for families with children (numerous water games).

After buying some much needed chocolate, we crossed the bridge at the bottom of Southbank (near the Maritime Museum). We reached the University and crossed it! It was empty as the school year does not start until March. We reached the old Government House and the Parliament House. The old buildings are really pretty!
We walked back to the hostel, talked to Jo&Al in our room for a while (they are leaving tomorrow for Australia Zoo and then Noosa). They wanted to go to bed early but in the end they stayed with us until 9.30pm. We then ate dinner around 10pm: spicy chorizo + omelette with ricotta cheese.

We finally went to bed, I started a new series on Netflix: Dance Academy (set in Sydney, I recognise the places!)
Walked 8.48 km today.
Slept in a mixed dorm, in Brisbane YHA
